      1. The technology is all haunted. Last night woke up to a bedroom that was 97° F (36° C) because for some reason the thermostat decided to roast us? Turned it off, opened the balcony door, turned on the fan. An hour later it was back on, and wouldn’t turn off.

      Eventually my spouse took the thermostat off the wall and reset it, which allowed him to reconnect and turn the furnace off. This is not a “smart” thermostat. This not a case of being hacked, there’s no outside access. It’s just my fucking curse.

      Oh yeah also my thermostats use Celsius measurements with no option to change to Fahrenheit so the last two years I’ve gotten really good at understanding how Celsius temps *feel* without having to do conversion in my head.

            Set temp / current temp. Mini splits are supposed to be more efficient with less temperature swing but again, ghosts.
